IMMEDIATE NEED for a Director of Mechanical Engineering for a engineering consulting firm in the Kansas City Missouri area. Perfect opportunity for a for a Mechanical Engineer who wants to advance their career and take a leadership role in a fast growing company. Candidates need 5+ years proven experience in a wide variety of HVAC system designs and installations including air, steam, and water side systems. Education: BSME required with Professional Engineers license preferred. Skills: Thorough knowledge of engineering design and control of HVAC systems with design experience in central plants, health care facilities, college campuses, industrial, and laboratory facilities is ideal including project management or supervision experience. These positions have a competitive salary, full benefits including 100% of health insurance premiums paid, profit sharing, 401K with up to 4% match, defined equity participation, and educational assistance for all children of employees after five years. Questions you will be asked:
• Please describe your air-side HVAC design experience including which HVAC system types have you designed? What sources of heating - cooling were used in these systems and what range of system sizes were designed (residential, commercial, industrial, provide approximate CFM sizes)?
• Please describe your water-side HVAC design experience. What types of chilled water plants have you designed? What pumping strategies have you used? What types of heating hot water systems? What types of steam systems?
• Please describe the types of projects you have managed and-or supervised? Describe your leadership style.
• Please describe your educational achievements.
