A major land and offshore platform drilling contractor is actively searching for a Mechanical Engineer in the Tulsa, OK area. The Mechanical Engineer will be a member of the engineering design group and will work on concept development, layout and stress analysis. Candidate will work with drafting designers to drawing completion of various land and offshore rig components and systems. Responsibilities included package weight control, analysis documentation, coordinating design efforts with other company disciplines, 3rd party manufacturing and engineering as well as interfacing with fabricators and field operations. Candidates need a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5-7 years of mechanical design experience. Has or is working towards obtaining PE. Important qualification for this position is to have heavy equipment design experience with products like excavation tractors, trucks, engines, hydraulics and transmissions, etc. FEA modeling experience a plus. Important to be familiar with Machinery Handbook, ASME, AGMA and ASTM. Knowledgeable on general fabrication, machining practices and can read/correct fabrication drawings. Knowledge of Pneumatic and Hydraulic circuits. Proficient with AutoCad, Microsoft Office Suite, Inventor a plus. A full comprehensive benefits package included. Salary commensurate with experience.
