Our leading-edge climate control technology client has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a Mechanical Designer in northeast Indiana! You will have primary responsibility for: liaising with internal marketing and engineering teams to determine system design and packaging, 3-D conceptualization of new mechanical designs including housings and electronics enclosures, assisting with prototyping and testing of mechanical components and subsystems, and assisting with testing new products that are under development.
Qualified candidates MUST HAVE a BSME or BSEE with strong mechanical knowledge, at least 1 year experience (preferably 5) with complex electro-mechanical systems in industrial/commercial applications, demonstrated proficiency with CAD software (Unigraphics/I-deas, AutoCad, SolidWorks or Pro/E), demonstrated success taking new products from concept to production, and previous hands-on experience with packaging mechanical and electronic assemblies. Pluses: strong Project Management skills, industrial thermal/climate control engineering experience.
