Immediate Opening for a Broadcast Design Engineer in Northern Virginia near DC. Client designs audio visual facilities for the government, military and commercial clients using CAD and VidCad. Candidate must have Proficient Knowledge of AutoCAD or Vidcad, and MS Office suite such as Project, Word and Excel is required. The Managing Project Engineer shall possess a mastery of television broadcast production and communications principles. Significant experience with studio design and installation, especially pertaining to Standard Digital and High-Definition Television is essential. This position has responsibilities that include creating equipment lists; floor plans; rack and console elevations; conceptual and detailed audio, video, and control CAD drawings; patch panel and custom I/O panel layouts for large scale technical systems. In addition this position will be charged with creating test plans and testing & debugging systems. The Managing Project Engineer will have the ability to work with its engineering staff & company customers to produce high-quality engineering CAD drawings as well as the ability to communicate in clear, concise & logical terms, both orally and in writing with client technical representatives and company senior management staff. Candidate must have at least 7 years experience and a degree in Broadcast/Electrical Engineering or something similar. Please see also related position Think Job Order Number 73950.
Questions you will be asked:

• List any experience in detail designing audio visual facilities for the government, military and commercial clients using CAD and VidCad.

• List any experience with studio design and installation, especially pertaining to Standard Digital and High-Definition Television in detail.

• List any large scale television-audio-visual multimedia projects that you have either led or been a key part of.

• Have you ever Created equipment lists; floor plans; rack and console elevations; conceptual and detailed RF, audio, video, networking and control diagrams; patch panel and custom I-O panel layouts for large-scale technical systems? If so explain in detail.

• List any Degrees or Certificates you may have.
