EXCITING OPPORTUNITY in the Los Angeles, CA area for a Finishing Department Manager who has a minimum of 7 years work progressive work experience and at least 3 years in a management role in a carpet finishing facility. You MUST HAVE: hands on working knowledge and experience with the carpet Finishing, Shearing and Dryer operations; compounding using SBR latex; be knowledgeable about different carpet construction, styles, quality standards to determine backings and various materials that are needed; excellent communication skills in English and Spanish; experienced with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing processes; willing to work a flexible schedule that will include weekends. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, your responsibilities will include: departmental operations; meeting departmental cost objectives; review order and production schedules; determination of work force.
