Location: Providence, RI, USA
Client located in Providence, RI is actively seeking a Technical Applications Manager to perform the overall duties of Technical Services and support for a temp to perm or direct hire opportunity.

Responsibilities:

-> Demonstrate the Companys product on surface mount and wave soldering production lines
-> Responding to customers requesting technical support and evaluating customer needs in a timely manner
-> Provide 24 hour technical support either in-house or over the telephone
-> Relay product trends and problems as well as customer needs to VP of Technology
-> Update and ensure accuracy of technical data sheets in a timely manner
-> Attend industrial trade shows
-> Run in depth testing on solder paste products using internal and external labs
-> Maintain a working application lab

Requirements:

-> BS Engineering or Material sciences degree
-> 5+ years of related experience
-> Need to understand electronic assembly processes and assembly equipment
-> Material Science background and familiar with laboratory procedures
-> The ability to test and dissect solder joints on circuit boards is desired
