Client located in Edmonton, Alberta Canada is actively looking for a Track Design Team Leader to help provide comprehensive planning, design, and engineering services for all phases of airports and aviation, bridge, rail, roadway, and transit projects, while mentoring and managing junior staff.

Responsibilities:

-> Direct and mentor staff while taking a hands-on role in track design projects
-> Act as client liaison/project manager
-> Handle contract negotiations and assure adherence to contract terms
-> Work with the Rail Practice Lead to develop and implement the strategic business plan for the group
-> Recruit and hire key staff

Requirements:

-> BS Engineering or Technical degree
-> 10 years railway track engineering experience
-> Experience should include grading & track design for mainlines, siding, industrial yards, spur tracks, intermodal & transload facilities and light rail
-> Railway operations planning experience related to industrial facilities
-> Able to complete conceptual plans, preliminary & detailed designs and cost estimating
-> Project management and Track construction supervisory experience
-> Able to manage and lead other railway engineers and technologists
-> Software experience - AutoCad, MicroStation, Civil 3D, In Roads, InRail, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
