Maintenance Manager - Maintenance/Industrial/Chemical 120-150 K/yr

A mineral processing facility located in a remote section of the Mojave Desert has an immediate need for a Director of Maintenance Services to oversee and direct the maintenance operations of all 3 local facilities including 200+ maintenance department employees.

Responsibilities:

-> Responsible for the implementation and process leadership of a centralized maintenance workforce to develop both personnel and processes
-> Other areas of maintenance responsibilities include mechanical, instrument/electrical, central services (fabrication, machine, carpenter, cranes) along with reliability and maintenance engineering activities
-> Provide leadership in all aspects of Responsible Care Management Systems, safety, environmental and other processes that protect the companies employees, contractors, neighbors and all other stakeholders
-> Provide required maintenance leadership to recommend and implement modifications to existing equipment, including scope, estimate, procurement, construction/installation, and start-up troubleshooting as a key service organization
-> Prepares design sketches, layouts, and schematics as part of a design team. These preliminary and detailed design drawings using the AutoCAD packages and directs the work of designers, drafters, and technicians as required
-> Responsible for the Process Safety Management Mechanical Integrity

Requirements:

-> BS degree in mechanical or another engineering discipline with emphasis on mechanical design, fluid transportation, heat transfer, and rotating equipment
-> Experience in maintenance, to include 15 to 20 years as an engineer within large industrial plants
-> A maintenance management background in similar operating plants such as soda ash, salt and other mineral processing facilities
-> A career progression demonstrating increased budgetary and supervisory responsibilities
