Sales Manager - Sales/Instrumentation Controls/DCS 100-150 K/yr

Location: Columbus, OH, USA
A large OEM company providing utility power plants products and solutions is actively searching for Regional Sales Manager in the metro Columbus, OH area. If not currently living in area, you can work from your home office in the Midwest United States with travel to Columbus, OH regional office as needed. Posted salary range includes bonus potential of up to 50%, depending on meeting or exceeding personal targets.

Responsibilities:

-> Manage the sales efforts of assigned sales people in territory, defined geographic area, market segment of channel(s)
-> Call and visit on corporate level executives and decision makers at power utilities and EPC firms to close turbine control systems and large switchgear business
-> Oversee operational objectives and work plans for direct and or channel sales, and delegate assignments to staff
-> Develop and lead sales strategies for retention of account base and to penetrate and develop new accounts
-> Make all final decisions on administrative and operational matters and ensure effective achievement of objectives

Requirements:

-> Must have proven experience selling DCS systems (i.e - Emerson, Foxboro, Honeywell, The Wood Group, GE or ABB / Bailey)
-> BS degree in engineering or technical. Any MBA course work or equivalent is a plus
-> Experience with sales of any of the following is helpful: Process optimization Systems, Turbine Controls, Boiler Controls, Generator Excitation Systems, Switchgear and protection systems inside the fence line of a power generating station (Simple Cycle, Combined
-> Experience with proven sales with instrumentation & controls and or other electrical products and solutions to power plant utilities (simple cycle, combined cycle and or Traditional Steam Plants) & EPC firms is extremely helpful
-> Power plant process knowledge and utility experience a must. Steam Turbine and/or Gas Turbine experience is needed
-> Establish relationships with Engineers, Plant Managers, Production Managers, Maintenance Managers at plant sites, plus department heads at corporate offices. Identify opportunities for both short term and long term development. Uncover market pricing, key buying factors and customers decision making process for all modernization opportunities. Perform a win/loss analysis on all major bid results

• Detail your sales experience with instrumentation & controls and other electrical experience to utilities (Simple Cycle, Combined Cycle and-or Traditional Steam Plants) & EPC firms ?

• Detail your background in developing long term sales relationships with corporate level executives and decision makers at utilities and EPC firms.

• Where do you currently live ? Do you live in the Columbus, OH area or do you have a home office and able to travel as needed to regional office ?
