Safety Manager - Safety/Construction/Commercial

Large construction client has an immediate need for a contract Safety Supervisor to work on construction project in northern Maryland. Excellent opportunity for a highly-motivated individual with previous Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) construction experience. Duration of this assignment will be approximately one year. Local candidates only as there is no Per Diem in the budget.

Responsibilities:

-> You will develop and implement EHS programs, related to an office facility environment
-> Supervise other EHS specialists assigned to same project
-> Serve as liaison between the resident contract agency representative and other various agencies engaged in promoting EHS activities
-> You also may administer additional EHS programs on a more specialized project or multiple projects as appropriate

Requirements:

-> At least 5 years of related EHS program experience in USACE project environment
-> USACE formal safety training
-> Experience within office building facility construction is a strong plus
-> Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to both the client and to upper management
