Client that designs and manufactures technologically advanced products and systems for the power generation industry has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a Manufacturing Process Engineer with 5+ years of gas or steam turbine manufacturing experience. The ideal candidate will be someone that worked for a turbine OEM or a 3rd party manufacturing or service company that manufactures both rotating & stationary turbine components.

Responsibilities:

-> Reviews manufacturing drawings to determine production capabilities and identifies and resolves potential technical issues
-> Attends monthly design review meetings with engineering team as a representative of your manufacturing facility
-> Supports programmers and machine tool operators to resolve challenging and complex manufacturing processes
-> Provides root cause analysis to resolve any technical issues that arise during production and supports cycle time calculations

Requirements:

-> BS degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
-> 5+ years of experience with the shop processes required to manufacture large complex industrial gas & steam turbines (both rotating and stationary components)
-> Thorough understanding of machining processes in regards to large complex turbine rotors and casings
-> Certified in or familiarity with geometric tolerancing and dimensions
-> Thorough understanding of engineering drawings, standards and specifications
-> Knowledge of large steam and gas turbine stationary and rotating components

• How many years of experience do you have as in a turbine manufacturing or machining environment? Did you work for an OEM?

• Detail your experience with manufacturing processes such as conventional and non-conventional machining, sheet metal fabrication, and hole drilling (EDM and ECM).

• Do you have a broad knowledge of mechanical engineering, manufacturing technologies and materials related to the manufacturing of both rotating & stationary turbine components?

• Do you have a BS degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering? If not, what degree?

• What is your current base salary & total compensation? What is your desired salary and total compensation?
