Electrical Technician - Meter/Transformers/Journeyman

Leading diversified energy company has an immediate need for Journeyman Meter Technicians in Colorado. This is an hourly nonexempt position. Local candidates only. The selected candidates will test, install and maintain transformer-rated meter installations and exchanges. Apply now for immediate consideration!

Responsibilities:

-> Test, install, and maintain transformer-rated meter installations and exchanges
-> Exchange Company specified self-contained and transformer-rated meters per annual test schedule
-> Respond and assist in resolving customer complaints requiring meter accuracy verification
-> Recognize potential hazards and correct problems relating to load survey meters and solid state recorders
-> Field test transformer-rated meters per company specified test schedule
-> Perform annual meter testing as required.
-> Complete required meter exchanges per company specified test schedule

Requirements:

-> Journeyman license, Four year apprenticeship or equivalent
-> Proficiency in recognizing and identifying transformer secondary connections
-> Ability to become proficient in the use of office application i.e. Excel, Word, Email, Scheduling, etc
-> Ability to perform secondary voltage (600 Volt maximum) electrical work on transformer-rated metering installations and exchanges
-> Knowledgeable in customer electric service systems and record keeping
-> Ability to attain and hold valid Colorado CDL Class 'A' Driver's license within 90 days.
