Facilities Manager - Facilities/Safety/Plant Operations

Location: Madison, WI, USA
Leading energy and technology company seeks a skilled Facilities Manager for their plant in southern Wisconsin. Local candidates preferred. The Facilities Manager is responsible for the physical building and engineering services support of the plant and overall project management of capital projects and management of the facilities team.

Responsibilities:

-> Facility and resource planning, contractor management, pilot plant construction, employee development, and deployment of safety initiatives.
-> Manage the work flow of the Facilities group including physical facility and maintenance, instrumentation, and fabrication of pilot plants
-> Manage the construction and rebuild activities of pilot plants as required by R&D and Process Engineering
-> Manage and support on-site contractors required for facility build-outs and upkeep
-> Develop safety programs to ensure safe work practices by personnel and contractors and manage Contractor Safety Training
-> Develop facility resource plans and manage staffing and hiring to fill voids.
-> Develop outsourcing relationships where appropriate.
-> Support the company deployment of engineering work processes, including PLCs and other control systems.
-> Purchase equipment and materials in accordance with company purchasing procedures

Requirements:

-> Bachelors degree in engineering discipline
-> EXPERIENCE: 10 years minimum experience with at least 4 years management of facilities involved with chemical processes
-> Desire to work in a high-paced start-up company
-> Ability to coordinate, manage and prioritize multiple projects
-> Knowledge of OSHA requirements for workplace safety
-> Excellent communication skills and Demonstrated management experience
-> Ability to develop systems and processes
-> Knowledge of building trades
