Procurement Manager - Supply Chain/Inventory Management

A leading producer of electrical power located in the Northeast is actively interviewing for a Material & Services Acquisition Supervisor for one of their nuclear facilities. This position will manage the site Purchasing & Inventory Management programs, procedures and processes.

Responsibilities:

-> Supervise purchasing of parts, materials, business systems, and services
-> Manage contract negotiations for major site vendors
-> Responsible for Inventory Management including stocking levels, generation of stock requisitions and accuracy of inventory reporting
-> Supervises personnel by establishing work assignments, schedules and approval of time allocated
-> Implement Supply Chain Strategies and Actions Plans, including Automation

Requirements:

-> Strong supply chain experience, preferable in a Nuclear Power Plant
-> Bachelors degree preferred

Questions you will be asked:

• Describe your Supply Chain experience, background and past responsibilities. Highlight any nuclear experience.

• Inventory Management, briefly describe your experience in establishing and maintaining of inventory levels, requisition procedures, accuracy of inventory levels and reconciliation of nonconforming materials.

• Providing leadership to procurement professionals in the area of supply chain management is important for the success of the supply chain strategies and action plans. Describe your supervision and leadership skills

• Do you have experience of working within the NRC requirements (Nuclear Regulatory Commission), Quality Assurance Programs, and regulatory and industry guidelines?

• Describe your background in contract negotiations and give examples. What is your experience with Power Plant procurement?
