A Biotechnology Company is seeking an Instrumentation Technician for a contract assignment at its Southern California facility. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

-> Perform calibrations of instruments on process, utility, and lab equipment
-> Provide calibration, installation, troubleshooting, and documentation of instruments
-> Research buildings and laboratory analytical equipment
-> Assist the team in maintaining an up to date working spare parts inventory for the equipment/systems in assigned area
-> Ensure calibration paperwork, instrument files, and work order instrumentation is accurately completed in a timely manner
-> Complete GMP documentation and follow applicable standard operating procedures
-> Maintain an up to date training record and consistent dialog with supervisor
-> Complete all work in accordance with CFRs, SOPs, company, and customer policies and procedures
-> Perform tasks in accordance with planning and scheduling

Requirements:

-> A high school diploma or GED
-> 2 year technical degree in instrumentation is preferred
-> A minimum of 5 years experience in the calibration and maintenance of utility, process, and lab equipment
-> Experience working with Maximo CMMS
-> Research buildings and laboratory analytical equipment experience
-> Extensive work experience with incubators, freezers, balances, transmitters, indicators, etc
-> Experience working in a cGMP environment is preferred
-> Ability to read and understand technical material including operating manuals and standard engineering drawings
-> Basic troubleshooting, problem solving, organizational, and verbal and written communications skills
