Construction Manager - Distribution/Construction/Project 40-50 $/hr

Location: Secaucus, NJ, USA
Client is looking for a Construction Supervisor/Project Manager with 7-25+ years of experience supporting construction projects in the power industry. You must have specific experience with overhead and/or underground distribution or transmission line construction projects. The ideal candidate will have distribution line construction experience. You should have a solid electrical or civil background related to distribution or transmission line construction projects. This is a long term, year long contract assignment located in Secaucus, NJ. Our client is only looking for candidates that are local and residents of NJ.

Responsibilities:

-> You will handle oversight of construction in support of the erection, start-up and technical activities, including QA/QC duties with regards to the contractors performance
-> You will be responsible to serve as a mechanism to do due diligence on site for quality control (including documentation) to relieve any errors and omissions
-> Monitor the implementation of the construction work according to project technical documents,schedules and budgets
-> Document any field problems associated with the equipment installation & will be responsible for tracking quantities
-> Understand scope of work
-> Direct Union labor
-> Supervise Inspectors

Requirements:

-> Our client is only considering candidates that are local to and permanent residents of NJ
-> 7-25+ years of experience supporting construction projects in the power industry
-> Specific experience as a Construction Supervisor, Construction Engineer, or Project Manager on transmission or distribution line construction projects
-> You need a BS degree in Engineering or equivalent experience

• Are you more focused on the civil or electrical areas of these T&D construction projects?

• Are you local to northern NJ and are you a permanent resident? Where do you live?
