Process Engineer - Plant/Process/Maintenance

Location: Wendover, NV, USA
Mineral processor has immediate need for a Process / Plant Engineer at its Eastern Nevada location.

Responsibilities:

-> Provides in-house project and process engineering support to maintenance and operations
-> Utilize technology and troubleshooting skills to identify / propose improvements for system bottlenecks
-> Assist the Maintenance department in short and long term maintenance and shut down planning
-> Develop, manage, and implement capital projects and major repairs and maintenance projects
-> Coordinate and supervise work provided by contractors and vendors
-> Assist the maintenance department to investigate and find the root cause of problems and develop corrective solutions
-> Function as the relief supervisor to assist with coverage for supervisory staff
-> Ensure the highest standards are achieved in the areas of safety, environmental compliance and process efficiency and reliability

Requirements:

-> BS Degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
-> 3 to 5 years experience in lime or cement (industrial environment experience required)
-> Must be an ambitious self starter able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and be passionate in the pursuit of implementing process improvements
-> Must be willing to work extended hours as necessary to meet deadlines or to ensure resolution of plant problems
-> Strong computer skills, proficiency with PLC programming and or JDE experience is a plus
-> Must have basic management skills (analysis, budgeting and planning)
-> Proven success as a team leader and team member able to influence others in decision-making
