Mechanical Engineer - Manufacturing/Verification/Validation

Medical Device Manufacturer has an immediate opening for Mechanical Engineer in Minneapolis Minnesota. This is a Contract Position.

Responsibilities:

-> Evaluates piece/part problems, Initiates test plans and runs tests accordingly, Provides qualification testing support to Engineering groups, Works with fixtures and planning reports
-> Conduct verification and validation (V&V) activities for electromechanical and plastics disposable medical devices
-> Develop, author, execute V&V test protocols and plans. Author and submit V&V reports
-> Design, build and operate test fixtures and apparatuses

Requirements:

-> Must have undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering MS PREFERRED
-> 5 + years of hands on engineering experience and performing Verification and Validation activities EIGHT YEARS PREFERRED Knowledge of ANSI and ASTM standards and GD&T practices
-> Demonstrated experience in a highly regulated environment.Familiar with FMEA, DOE, DFMA methods
-> Demonstrated technical writing skills and experience
-> Proficient w/ MS Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project Desired/Preferred Qualifications
-> Local Candidates ONLY. No Relocation

• Detail any experience you have in the author of & execution of test protocols per established design and performance requirements for electro-mechanical Class II medical devices FIVE PLUS YEARS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

• How would you rate your writing and documentation skills? Explain how you did so on past assignments. PRESENTATION SKILLS PREFERRED
