A world class manufacturing company is looking for a Machining Supervisor with CNC and LEAN manufacturing experience for its plant in Shreveport, Louisiana. This position calls for someone who has the machining skills and is also is a strong leader, able to grow and develop an important part of this companys operations. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

-> Use your machine shop experience and strong leadership skills to lead the machining operations and develop the plant Machinist personnel
-> Quote projects, develop production plans, set production schedules, coordinate and lead machining operations on mills and lathes, and follow up with customers on order status
-> Manufacture and repair mold equipment and maintain inventory of operating parts as needed
-> Use LEAN techniques to improve the machining processes and work with production personnel to optimize overall workload, machine uptime, and labor availability

Requirements:

-> 5 + years Machine Shop experience with a strong mechanical aptitude
-> Prior Supervisory experience and good teaching, coaching, and leadership skills
-> Manual and Computerized Numerical Control ( CNC ) machine experience with shop floor programming experience
-> Experience with Mazak, Fadal, Cincinnati, Warner Swazey, and or Haas mills and lathes is a major plus
-> Knowledge of trade related tools, tooling, information resources and precision measuring instruments
-> LEAN / 5S training or certification
-> Willing to work extended hours and receive after-hours phone calls as required
-> Machining Technical Certification or completion of a State approved Apprentice Program is desired
