Material Science Engineer - Geotechnical/Civil/Materials/Construction 100-120 K/yr

Client located in Edmonton, Alberta Canada is actively looking for a Sr. Materials Engineer to help assist with projects ranging from field explorations and laboratory testing to the design and construction management of complex Geotechnical structures.

Responsibilities:

-> Project Management of multiple Materials projects
-> Working on small and large projects from new construction design, construction review, rehabilitation work and forensic analysis
-> Preparation and review of materials engineering and testing reports
-> Pavement mix design and/or design review as well as pavement designs
-> Material condition assessment and development of remedial work and/or rehabilitation work
-> Client management and training of less experienced professionals as needed

Requirements:

-> Bachelors of Science or Masters degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering
-> Professional Engineer in good standing with APEGGA, or the ability to obtain the professional designation
-> 10+ years experience managing a testing facility and knowledgeable in ASTM, AASHTO, CCIL test methods on Alberta transportation products
-> A self starter who is innovative and enjoy working in a team environment
-> Direct project experience on Alberta Transportation projects is desired
-> Direct project experience on Western Canada transportation projects would be a plus
