Drafter - Drafter/Mechanical Design/Pro-E/CAD 25-28.5 $/hr

Client located in the Minneapolis area is actively looking for an experienced Design Drafter to provide product drafting service for the line of business and assist in defining and developing drafting policies and procedures. This is a 6+ month contract assignment with overtime potential.

Responsibilities:

-> Work as a team with other design drafters, engineers, and suppliers on company projects
-> Develop / Modify Pro-E models of harnesses, sheet metal fabrications, and Genset assemblies
-> Consult with engineers and suppliers to develop optimum designs for the assigned projects
-> Provide accurate Pro/E models and related engineering drawings which meet Onan drafting standards
-> Provide direction to technicians and prototype fabricators to supplement prototype drawings
-> Provide input on plans, schedules, and resource estimates to accomplish project objectives
-> Must be able to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts

Requirements:

-> Associates degree in computer aided mechanical design or equivalent
-> 6+ years experience using Pro-E CAD software and skilled in the use of most modules
-> Demonstrated design expertise in specific mechanical design areas and familiarity with manufacturing processes
-> Knowledge and experience with drafting standards and the ability to develop updates
-> Ability to work in a team environment across functions and with external partners
-> Flexible to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts
