The World leading communications, Tower and Monopole manufacturer in the MIDWEST is aggressively looking for a Transmission Design Engineer with lots of Electric Utility Design experience and lots OF DESIGN POLE EXPERIENCE for their facility in TEXAS. The qualified Engineer will be preparing structure design estimates and analysis for utility transmission and substation structures utilizing PLS-Pole, PLS Tower, RISA 3D and Staad PRO Software.
Responsibilities:
-> Prepare Structure Designs using utility Design Codes(i.e NESC, ASCE 7, ASCE 10, ASCE 48, IEEE 605, and NEMA SG6)
-> Perform Design and Analysis of Electrical Utility Transmission and Substations utilizing PLS Pole, RISA 3D, and StaadPRO software
-> Design various structure connections: base and flange plates, arm to pole connections, and other miscellaneous connections using Excel and MathCad applications
-> Prepare Engineering package to issue to the Drafting Department
-> Review Engineering and Fabrication Drawings
-> Gather and Review Customer Specifications
-> Analyzing existing towers for revised loading and determining required modifications
Requirements:
-> B.S Degree in Civil Engineering
-> Lots Electrical Utility Design Experience
-> Lots of Design Pole Experience
-> A minimum of 3+ years experience working with Structural Metal Fabrication
-> Metal and Steel Structures, Power Sub-Station Structures, and Foundation Experience
-> Experience in Steel analysis of Electrical Utility Transmission and Substation Structures
-> Experience in utilizing AutoCAD, PLS-Pole, RISA 3D, and StaadPro software
