Opportunity with a growing office in the Kansas City, MO area for a Senior Structural Engineer that has 10 or more years experience in varied aspects of Structural Engineering to be involved in significant hands on inspections and analysis of property damage to assess cause and potential remediation options. Local candidates or those that can relocate on their own preferred. Salary listed is an approximation so all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
-> Typical projects include residential and commercial buildings to determine damage from storms, deterioration or other loss considerations
-> Hands on inspections and analysis of property damage to assess cause and potential remediation options
-> Project scope is typically site inspection, review of documents, preparation of reports and review with clients, design of remediation/repairs
-> As a senior level staff person will also be responsible to develop support staff and business in the area
Requirements:
-> Bachelors degree in Civil/Structural or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited institution or equivalent
-> Registered Professional Engineer
-> Minimum 10 years experience in varied aspects of Structural Engineering
-> Demonstrated knowledge of applicable building codes and industry standards
-> Demonstrated ability to create and implement structural designs
-> Demonstrated strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
-> Experience in loss investigation or related issues would be helpful
-> Knowledge of building practices and construction techniques would be helpful
-> Comfortable climbing on tall structures and roofs is also desirable

Do you have a Bachelors degree in Civil-Structural or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited institution or equivalent? What state(s) are you a Registered PE in?
• Please detail any experience demonstrating to this client your ability to do hands on inspections and analysis of property damage to assess cause and potential remediation options to include site inspection, review of documents, preparation of reports and review with clients, design of remediation-repairs.
• What will show you have a demonstrated knowledge of applicable building codes and industry standards and the ability to create and implement structural designs? What experience will demonstrate you have strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills?
