EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY!!! A manufacturing company is searching for a Packaging Engineer for its Western Iowa location. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in the packaging industry. A Bachelor of Science degree is required. Candidate must have experience in developing and designing packaging systems and specifications for products/shipping containers, in an attractive and safe manner, under varying climate conditions and environments, utilizing various means of transportation. This position will recommend changes in procedures and packaging, work out proposals and job estimates (size specifications, bar code, wrap changes), plan, conduct, direct engineering research and develop projects. This position will also act as liaison with various departments and manufacturing on packaging specifications, conduct, develop, assist, and maintain necessary tests for improvement on new and existing packaging and packaging materials, evaluate results, supervise test shipments of new packaging, and maximize unit load warehousing and shipping efficiencies. Salary is commensurate with experience. Relocation is available for the right candidate. Company offers a benefit package that begins the 1st day of employment!!!
