Manufacturer of machine parts is searching for a MECHANICAL DESIGNER with 5+ years experience to work in their north central IL facility. The successful candidate will design components for multiple projects involving a variety of machines using Solid Works software. The candidate must be familiar with machine tool operations, coolant systems, high pressure filtration, conveyors and experienced with sheet metal construction. The position requires an Associates Degree and 5+ years experience. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work in a fast paced environment with little direction. This is a full time position but the client prefers to hire contract-to-permanent. At this time looking for local candidates.
Questions you will be asked:
• Do you have an Associates degree or technical school training and certification? From where? When?
• Do you have 5+ years mechanical design experience? Where? When?
• Describe you experience using Solid Works. How many hours? Do you have experience with 3D programs such as PRO-E and Inventor? Where? When?
• Describe your experience with machine tools, high pressure filtration, conveyors and sheet metal components. From where? When?
• Where do you live? Are you willing to work in North central IL?
