Our client, a global manufacturer south of Indianapolis, IN, is searching for a degreed Operations Manager within their facility to provide vision, direction, empowerment, coaching, and management of a technical hourly staff. The selected individual will be responsible for the development and support of a performance ethic within a team environment setting and evaluating priorities with reference to use of efficient utilization of assets and resource deployment. He/She will support product development activities and will effectively communicate goals, progress and obstacles within the team and among key customers/suppliers. To qualify, you must have a degree in engineering/technical or business, some automotive or engine experience, some project engineering or safety background, and the ability to perform team building activities along with program management and presentation skills. Experience managing unionized employees and/or Six Sigma knowledge would be considered a huge plus. Questions you will be asked:

• Please describe your automotive or engine experience (or experience within these environments inclusive of fuel systems, air handling,filtration, emission solutions, electrical power generation systems, etc..).

• Do you have experience managing unionized employees? Describe a situation when you were faced with a difficult employee who lacked compliance.

• Do you have project engineering or safety experience? If yes, please explain.

• What is the maximum amount of employees you-ve supervised? How would you classify the way you lead teams?

• If offered this position, a) would you be willing to relocate on your own if you don-t live locally, b) when would you be available to begin and b) what are your salary expectations?
