Electronic Engineer - Microprocessors/ASIC/Systems Design

Immediate need for this small company in Atlanta. Develop microcontroller-based software/electronics to support medical and drug delivery systems. Medical application development experience is a plus. This leadership position will be in involved in the entire design process from requirements definition to Validation and Verification. Design development will be performed in a Quality Systems environment. Basic engineering skills and experience developing and maintaining electromechanical medical devices. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a proven record of accomplishment developing embedded-system software and firmware products. Requirements: BS degree; EE or CS and MS Degree is preferred; Embedded electromechanical experience; knowledge of CASE CAD synthesis tools; Experience with ASIC and/or gate arrays design is desired; Current experience with 8051 core microprocessors including software is preferred. Areas of Responsibility: Design and Develop Cost-Sensitive Embedded-System microprocessor circuits (software/electronic); Lead cross-functional design efforts.
Questions you will be asked:

• Do you have a BS Engineering degree (BSEE or BSCS prefer) ?

• Explain your 8+ years electronics hardware systems design ? How much proven experience with ASIC and or gate arrays design ? And, with 8051 core microprocessors including software ?

• Do you have embedded electromechanical experience ? Embedded-System microprocessor circuits (software-electronic) ?
