Simulation software company is searching for a LANDMASS DATABASE TECHNICIAN with 1 to 3 years experience to work in their metro Daytona, FL office. The successful candidate will use commercial and proprietary tools to input and modify source data in order to develop large area, high-density, correlated landmass databases for instructional system products integrated into simulation products. The candidate will input and modify visual database source vector, attribution and image data using GIS tools to develop large area, dynamic, high-density, visual, NVIS, and sensor databases using commercial DBGS tools such as ARC GIS, Terra Vista and Smallworld GIS; Creating maps from vector data ; develop landmass databases from source data and from SEDRIS conversion for processing on PC-based IGs using commercial Visual APIs; Work pursuant to the release processes for landmass databases and models as versioned shrink-wrapped products ready for integration into applications software within simulation training products. The position requires an Associates degree in a database, art-related, or computers field and 1 to 3 years experience. Knowledge of Multigen Creator / Multigen Terrain Studio / Road tools, 3D Studio Max, Maya, Adobe Photoshop a plus. Looking for local candidates only at this time.
