Location: West Columbia, SC, USA
International supplier of railway track equipment and services looking for Manufacturing Engineer in the West Columbia, SC area. Candidate needs to have 5 years experience and working knowlege of Lean Manufacturing-Develops product/process designs and implements production methods to reduce manufacturing costs. Provides engineering support for the development of railway maintenance equipment. Develops and implement product qualification protocols. Works with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment. Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to improve information for management decisions. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: CAD, BAAN, SmarTeam, Chinese communication a plus. EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: BSME or equivalent with 5yrs experience in a machining manufacturing environment, full understanding of CNC equipment as well as a variety of single axis machines, jig and fixture design and implementation, ability to evaluate equipment and capacity planning.
