Excellent opportunity for experienced CNC CATIA Programmers with a progressive aerospace manufacturer near Wichita, Kansas. Requires 3-5 years manufacturing experience in CNC (computerized numerical control) programming (prior CNC machine operation preferred) and also requires at least 1 solid year of CATIA v.5 programming experience. Must be able to program from 2-3 axis parts using Catia v.5 machining software. Position develops programs for fabricating parts on numerically controlled machine tools, and working from designs and specifications, determines machining requirements and prepares a mathematical definition of the part to be produced. Determines the proper speeds, feeds and types of cutters, taking into consideration the materials to be used and machine characteristics. Maximizes machine efficiency by determining optimum cutter paths. Prepares input for computer to generate actual machine control program, checks final program. Assignment to 2nd or 3rd shift schedules is possible. Competitive salary, benefits package and paid relocation to right candidate(s).
