ACTIVELY SEARCHING-for 2-3 civil structural engineers with nuclear plant experience to start a 3+ month contract in Northern Ohio area. Location is a nuclear power plant (1200+ megawatt) involved in replacing fuel assemblies in the reactor and making other modifications and improvements over the next two years.This position will be responsible for developing engineering solutions to support operation and maintenance (outage and on-line); preparing calculations, engineering design packages, specifications, preparing technical reports, etc. The ideal candidate will participate in developing construction methods, planning activities, projects, work scopes, estimates.
Candidates should have emphasis on coursework in structural analysis, structural steel and concrete design. The successful candidate will also provide concept design solutions using proprietary product lines, determine structural capacity and stability of structures, and provide technical support to project management, customers, general contractors and the clients design team. Must have B.S. in Civil Engineering, 10+ years experience in civil engineering and a minimum of five years associated with Civil/Structural. Previous nuclear plant engineering experience very desirable. Professional Engineer (PE) registration very desirable but not necessary. Nuclear power plant design experience preferred. Knowledge of piping analysis/pipe support design is desirable. Local candidates are preferred but all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
