EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY for an experienced Controls Engineer to work for a leading manufacturer near the Houston, TX area. The successful candidate will be responsible for plantwide DCS instrumentation and controls support. Responsibilities include specifying and designing plant process measurement and control loops, control strategy and configuration of distributive control and PLC systems, developing and improving engineering standards relating to position. Must perform reliability and accuracy improvement of critical process measurements. Provide basic engineering and maintenance assistance of low voltage multiphase ac circuits (up to 2300 V). Routine interfacing with personnel across the plant required. MUST be able to do detailed design and procurement specifications for small projects as well as review and approval on large projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering and 5-10 years of related experience. Previous experience with silicon technology or specialty chemical products manufacturing helpful. Client is offering a competitive salary and benefits with this opportunity.
