A leading manufacturer and supplier to the transportation markets has an immediate opening for a Senior Project Engineer to join their team in Virginia. Candidate must have a BS in Engineering and a proven track record in successfully managing new product development projects, from specification through validation and final product release. 10 to 15 years experience is required in the design of geared mechanisms such as transmissions, gear boxes, differentials, speed reducers and additional experience with brakes and friction materials. In addition, candidate must have experience with Solidworks, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and simulation modeling.

This role will focus primarily on the design and development of new products and improving and maintaining existing products. Interfacing with Marketing and Operations teams will be an integral part of the responsibilities. Root cause identification and problem solving skills will be necessary. High energy and creativity are desired for this position.
