Substation Engineer - Protection & Control/Substation/SCADA

Very Long Term Contract Assignment (Possible Permanent) in Multiple Locations: Ohio, Oklahoma, Virginia: Large Central U.S. utility has an immediate need for HV Substation Relay Protection and Control Engineers with a minimum of 3+ years experience and a Bachelors Degree or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering. PE registration desirable but not required. Requires at least 3 years of experience in substation relay protection, control and SCADA application, design and engineering for HV and EHV electrical substation projects. Specific experience with utility substation projects would be a strong plus. Experience with developing elementary drawings adhering to standards for Protection & Control. Responsible for RDP I/O selection of protective devices and coordination of telecommunication together timely issuing of wiring drawings. Experienced in leading relay protection and control activities for HV and EHV electrical substation projects, performing fault analysis, relay coordination studies and relay settings and preparing and/or reviewing engineering and design for HV and EHV electrical substation projects. Additionally, job will include checking and approving P&C related work of other team members, providing engineering support for project installation, commissioning, checkout and troubleshooting, participation in project scheduling, resource planning, and cost control for assigned projects, development of protection standards for transmission and distribution station protection and control applications. Per diem will be considered.
