Engineering company actively seeking Mechanical Engineer near Salem, OH with experience with Naval design of valves. Paid relocation! Candidates will possess a moderate degree of business awareness along with a passion for the engineering discipline. Essential Job Functions: This position requires the ability to understand the technical requirements of our Industrial and Naval customers and meet these demands. Scheduling and resolving engineering design / assembly and test problems. Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications and drawing releases. Mechanical drafting work and involvement with the manufacturing shop environment. Particular Engineering Disciplines: Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiar with ASME drawing Standards. Must be familiar with the latest AutoCAD drafting standards (such as layering) Must be familiar with industrial and military specifications for specialty metals, fasteners and piping components (i.e.: MIL-S-1222, ASME B16.34, ASME Boiler Pressure Vessel Code).
Experience with Naval Valve design, stress analysis and understanding of fluid power. Experience with Solid Modeling Software is a plus. Experience with Microsoft Office Software is a plus. Welding background is a plus.
Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
Experience: 3-5 years in a Manufacturing / Engineering environment. Experience with Hydraulic / Pneumatic systems and component design.
