A manufacturing company located in the Northern Chicago area has and immediate opening for a Lead Engineer with a minimum of 7 years experience in the design of concrete buildings, steel buildings and building foundations. Must have knowledge of current concepts and practices in structural engineering, fabrication and construction. Must have a strong knowledge of the International Building Code (IBC), American Concrete Institute (ACI) Building Code 318 Code for Structural Concrete, and American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) Manual of Steel Construction Allowable Stress Design, Ninth Edition. Proficiency in the use of structural engineering design programs is a plus. This person will be required to plan, organize, and prepare design drawings, and other documents for steel structures, concrete structures, equipment layout and piping layout. Responsible for staying on schedule and within budget to achieve highest customer acceptance of deliverables. BS in Civil Engineering from a university accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) or equivalent is required. Excellent benefits package is available including pension and profit sharing. Salary is commensurate with experience.
