A manufacturing company located in the Northern Chicago area has an immediate need for a Sales Engineer. The successful candidate will have a B.S. in Engineering and mechanical engineering experience, including a thorough technical knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic conveying systems. Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in Technical Sales, Application Engineering, and/or Product Sales. Experience in material handling systems is preferred. Must be familiar with AutoCAD. Must have the ability to interface with engineering disciplines, purchasing, production, and service. This person will be responsible for working directly with clients and sales representatives to define customer's needs, influence bid documents, and resolve customer material handling problems. Responsible for reviewing specifications, drawings, and performing design calculations. Responsible for building proposals and conducting sales presentations and negotiations. Some travel required. Attractive salary and benefits package available including pension and profit sharing. Salary is commensurate with experience.
