A leading Vehicle Manufacturing company has an immediate opening for contract Test Technicians based in Southwest and MidAtlantic USA. An Associate's Degree in Auto Diesel Mechanic program or related field preferred with 3 to 5 years related experience. Responsibilities - To test and develop new vehicles and components and to measure and report audit BOMs and work instructions of the vehicle and components against standards and specifications. Operate and maintain equipment and perform other general mechanical duties, such as complete component changes, teardowns and reassembly.
Develop new vehicles and/or components, conduct safety and road ability inspections. Perform minor tests of system and components to assure proper operation. Perform field service work as necessary. Build and fabricate test fixtures. Maintain records/log test data on projects assigned. Audit BOM of vehicle and subcomponents to assure accuracy. Audit work instruction and train assembly personnel.Frequent travel of two-week duration expected. A Mechanical Skills Test will be required. Contract length is approximately two years. Salary is commensurate with educational background and experience.
