Mechanical Design Engineer - Rotating Equipment/Pumps/Design 1-1 K/yr

Location: Burlington, VT, USA
IMMEDIATE NEED for a Design Engineer in the North East, that is a degreed Mechanical Engineer with 5 + years design and analysis experience in industrial rotating machinery. This includes pumps, turbines, or compressors. Client is especially looking for candidates strong in engineering principals of centrifugal pumps. Candidates with experience in power generation and chemical process industries will have an edge. The right person should have experience in stress and thermal analysis. Client would prefer candidates that are familiar with CAD and Finite Element Analysis, plus have had some workings with the ASME Code Section VIII and Section III. This is a team player position, for which excellent communications skills are a must, being able to function on your own, and be highly motivated to produce results. This position is located in Vermont and relocation assistance will be considered for eligible candidates. Per the client request no salary is listed so please provide current and desired salary in the screening questions below.
Questions you will be asked:

• Describe your experience in the mechanical engineering principles associated with the design,analysis and operation of centrifugal pumps.

• What is your experience in the design and analysis of industrial rotating machinery, such as pumps, turbines, or compressors.

• What is your background with stress and thermal analysis? Do you have any experience with CAD and Finite Element Analysis?

• Client has requested that the salary not be posted. What is your desired salary for this position?

• Relocation to Vermont is required. Why do you believe moving to Vermont will be a good fit for you.?
