Our client, a major manufacturer of optical equipment, is seeking a SENIOR TOOL AND MACHINE DESIGN SPECIALIST with a 2 Year Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field and/or a minimum of 5-7 years of work experience as a mechanical designer. Must be proficient in the use of Pro-Engineer Wildfire 2 Mechanical CAD software with five thousand hours of Pro-Engineer experience. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Excess, and Outlook Express. Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills within both the technical office environment and production floor environment. This position requires exceptional mechanical aptitude with above average reasoning and analytical skills. As a mechanical designer in the development of fixtures, tools, test equipment and production equipment for night vision systems and component parts utilizing Pro-Engineer Wildfire 2 mechanical CAD software for the design functions described. As Secondary CAD Administrator and back up for the Primary CAD Administrator. As a liaison between the members of the Plant Engineering Design Group and the Information Systems Department. Qualified applicants must have a Secret Clearance, an interim Secret Clearance or the ability to get one quickly.

• Have you ever created design concept sketches, 3D models, and detail-assembly drawings of complex mechanical, pneumatic and electro-pneumatic test equipment?

• Do you have the ability to act as a systems administrator for PRO-E and AutoCAD software systems?

• What are you currently making (salary, bonus, etc.) and what do you expect to make in this position?
