Well established innovators in the Turbomachinery industry has IMMEDIATE needs for 2 Service Representative for its location in Alberta, Canada. Under the direction of the Area Service Manager, performs service assignments on all products and on competitors' equipment which involve independent action and decisions. This work consists of installation, startup, overhaul repairing, and rerating apparatus. Two years of college or technical school, or equivalent education along with many years' experience on rotating equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude for rotating machinery to enable individual to be able to work on all products and competitors' equipment, and ability to document job activities in written service reports. This job would be the highest level in this category for the best service representatives. Principal activities of this job would be analyzing customer's problems, collecting and recording product and technical information on each assignment, and directing the assigned customer personnel in repair or maintenance of customer's equipment. This is a line position. Although some repairs, etc., are covered by policy, precedent, or standard procedure, the possibility always exists of having to respond to new, unfamiliar, and original situations. Contacts outside the company would be with customer personnel, vendors, and subcontractor's mechanics. Internal contacts would be his/her Area Service Manager and Service Engineers assigned to the office, Technical Services Engineers, and field shop personnel. Travel requirements are 100%.
