Test Engineer - Laboratory Manager/Turbomachinery

Our client, a leader with a superb international reputation for excellence that promotes a non-smoking environment, is seeking a degreed and experienced Laboratory Manager to provide direction for the successful completion of test programs in their turbomachinery development test laboratory in their southern Vermont location. He/She will lead a team of engineers, technicians, and shop personnel to generate test plans, procedures, and work instructions from customer requirements, participate in test rig setup and configuration, fixtures, and instrumentation, ensure accuracy and consistency of results, assist in writing test reports, post process test data, and participate in design of test fixtures. An Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree is REQUIRED along with 5 years of experience in laboratory testing environment (turbomachinery preferred) and familiarity with laboratory measurement tools and transducing technologies. The ideal candidate will be skilled in the application and use of laboratory test equipment including, but not limited to, computer automated data acquisition and control systems, an assortment of measurement and sensing transducers, and also development of Lab View applications for use in a laboratory/test environment so he/she should be able to read and interpret drawings and MUST be familiar with mechanical assemblies. Excellent communication, teamwork, analytical, and computer skills are essential with attention to detail and quality of work.
