Great opportunity for a Buyer with a leading aircraft manufacturer in the Seattle, Washington area. Requires Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline and 2+ years buyer experience in the aerospace manufacturing industry, or 5 years or more of related aircraft manufacturing industry buyer experience. Certification through N.A.P.M. or A.P.I.C.S. highly preferred. Position will be responsible for all aspects of material purchases, from requisition through delivery, as specified by the Purchasing Manager or Supervisor. Maintains quantity, quality, documentation and other processes (including resolving discrepancies) associated with procurements with vendors and suppliers, is responsible for on-time delivery of purchased items and in meeting established standards for productivity and quality, and assists in negotiating prices and delivery schedules to insure lowest prices and minimum inventory levels.
