IMMEDIATE NEED for experienced Production Managers to work for a leading manufacturer at their production facility in Northwest, IN. The successful candidates will be responsible for supervising and coordinating activities or personnel in Production and Shipping to insure projects are completed on time, within budget and of high quality, managing the strategic direction of the Production and Shipping organization, Creates, maintains and monitors the production schedule, provides estimates on production times to Project Managers and management, looks for continuous process improvements, and participate in all project kickoff meetings. The Production Manager interacts with Management, Project Managers and Materials Manager regarding materials requirements, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes. Candidates should have the following qualifications for this position: a minimum of 3 years experience managing steel production shop. A Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred. Understanding of shop equipment for steel fabrication. Ability to meet timelines and deadlines. Ability to analyze and interpret conceptual and schematic construction drawings. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and persuade a team. Good problem solving skills. Previous heavy industry experience required. MUST be able to work rotating shifts.
