IMMEDIATE NEED-Manufacturing company is looking for a Drafter II in the Tulsa, OK. area. Responsibilities:Utilize Solid Edge 3D CAD software to draft detailed working drawings of assembly parts from rough or general design drawings. Measure prototype parts to scale using calipers and/or micrometers and perform basic math calculations to show precise dimensions. Perform design work and indicate important information necessary to make detailed drawings clear and complete.
Draft multiple views of mechanical assemblies, sub assemblies, layouts, wiring diagrams, and supporting bills of material. Show dimensions, materials to be used, and other information necessary to make assembly drawings clear and complete. Modify and revise drawings to reflect design changes, correct errors and reduce production problems as required by Engineering Change Orders. Requirements: Associate's degree preferred or minimum 3-5 years mechanical drafting related experience and Vocational Trade School graduate. Strong understanding of drafting procedures, GDT, ANSI standards, and experience with mechanical threads, mechanical components and BOMs. Experience with a 3D CAD program, preferably Solid Edge. Experience with Altium Designer 6 software a plus. Skills: Knowledgeable in electronics, PC board and schematic layouts. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
