A manufacturing company located in the Northern Chicago area has an immediate for a NON DEGREED Lab Technician. The client will not consider DEGREED CANDIDATES. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years experience working as a Lab Technician and must be willing to do ash and particulate material testing. The candidate should be familiar with operating lab machinery and tools, including lathes, vertical mills, drill presses, band saws, etc. The candidate should be familiar with working from blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions and should be familiar with AutoCAD. This person will be responsible for conducting tests, sorting/organizing tested material samples, and loading/unloading lab test loops. Also responsible for modeling, fabricating, machining, assembly and testing work pertaining to product development as directed. Excellent problem solving skills are required. Must have a strong interest in working with ash using goggles and mask. Standing is required 50% of the time. Excellent benefits package is available. Salary depends on experience. All NON DEGREED lab technicians are encouraged to apply. NO Relocation assistance is provided.
