Technology company has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a couple Process Modeling Engineers with 2-5+ years of experience in modeling in the chemical or energy sectors. You need a BSChE degree and any advanced degrees would be a big plus. You also need 2-3+ years of experience in high temperature/high pressure reactor operations. You will play a key role in developing, validating and applying process simulation models for the design of the company's proprietary gasification reactor systems. You must be proficient with creating process flow sheet models using either Aspen Plus or HYSYS. You will use HYSYS, Aspen, and Matlab models to validate model predictions with pilot results. You will be expected to develop and implement process and economic models of these gasification technology, systems and subsystems. You must be comfortable evaluating process technologies in multiple areas (e.g. gasification, gas treatment, gas separation, catalyst recovery, steam generation, ash removal, etc...). You will prepare mass and energy balances of whole plants and detailed performance models of various unit operations or subsystems. Candidates with a background in gasification, gas processing, petroleum refining, reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, fluidization and/or modeling would be ideal. Questions you will be asked:

• How much experience do you have as a Chemical Process Engineer or Process Modeling Engineer involved with modeling plants in the chemical or energy sector?

• Are you very proficient with creating process flow sheet models using Aspen Plus or HYSYS?

• Do you have a BSChE degree? Any advanced degrees?

• Do you have experience evaluating process technologies in multiple areas (e.g. gasification, gas treatment, gas separation, catalyst recovery, steam generation, ash removal, etc...)? Explain.

• Do you have any experience with coal gasification, gas processing or petroleum refining?
