One of the largest and most experienced manufactures of custom-engineered steel buildings in the world is looking to hire Design Estimators in Southeast AL.
Must enjoy living in a Small to Medium-sized Town with Beautiful Scenery on a Vast Lake a little over 2 hours from the Gulf Coast Beaches.
All applicants must have a B.S degree in Building Science, or equivalent. The company will be hiring from entry level to Senior level Design Estimators, with experience in Structural Steel and costing methods and sales margins for all product offerings. Entry level estimators must have a basic knowledge of structural design principle, gained from a 4 year degree. Sr. Candidates will need to perform and obtain the most economical and accurate cost possible then apply margins as determined by management.
Also must provide a day to day guidance to create the least disturbance to service.
Ideal candidates will have daily interaction with project engineers, drafters and technicians associated with specific projects. Salary commensurate with experience; RELOCATION will be considered for the right candidate. Excellent benefits as well as a very friendly and family oriented environment.
Questions you will be asked:

• Please describe your Structural Steel Estimating experience (years of experience and types of projects and industries you were involved with).

• Please explain your experience in estimating structural steel systems, and the techniques used?

• Please describe your experience in producing preliminary designs?

• Please explain your education background including all certificates,degrees or higher level courses?

• How many projects have you taken from initial concept through to completion?
