A fast-growing, established, global glass manufacturer has an immediate need for a Mechanical and Electrical Project Engineer in southeastern Michigan. Must be willing, and flexible, to take on company global projects with up to 18 month lengths. Ideal candidate will have 2 to 10 years of experience (with some being in a manufacturing plant). Excellent speaking, writing and listening skills (communication). Ability to work effectively with individuals of all business levels in the company. Seeking a self-directed and motivated individual. The Engineer will work on both new and green-field projects and projects supporting existing plants. Working knowledge of a variety of utility systems is needed. ELECTRICAL CANDIDATES NEED: Ability to wear many different hats. Specific knowledge is: basic power distribution in the 600 volt class systems, emergency power generations systems, application and use of variable speed drives, creating contracts for equipment and construction, read construction drawings, write electrical specifications. Need a BS Electrical. MECHANICAL CANDIDATES NEED: Ability to wear many different hats. Specific knowledge in: a variety of utility systems, knowledge of and ability to determine design requirements, create cost estimates and time lines, screen bidders / coordinate installation and maintenance managing with staff.
