Client has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a Staff Civil Engineer in Salt Lake City, UT. You will need a BSCE and at least 10 years of related work experience in a consulting engineering company doing industrial facilities design. A PE is required. You must be capable of exercising independent judgment in evaluating, selecting ad applying standard design engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to make design adaptations and modifications. You must posses a working knowledge of current codes and standards including but not limited to AISC, ACI, IBC, and ASCE7 including design procedures for steel and concrete structures. Demonstrate competence in use of computer aided design software. Experience in heavy industrial design including design of Ore Processing, Material Handling, Metals Extraction, Petroleum Refining, Chemical Processing, Gas Transmission, and/or Power Generation facilities is preferred. This is a contract position with the potential to become direct hire for the right candidate.
